Report: Giants trying to trade Olivier VernonMarch 01, 2019 | 08:46 AM

ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports the Giants are trying to trade pass rusher Olivier Vernon. Making $17 million per year, Vernon is the league's third-highest paid edge rusher behind only Khalil Mack and Von Miller. Signed to a massive deal in 2016, Vernon has not lived up to his contract with the Giants. He's averaged just over seven sacks per season with the G-Men. Raanan thinks the Giants could cut Vernon if they don't find a trade partner. Vernon carries a $19.5 million cap hit. The Giants can clear $11.5 million of that off the books but releasing him.
